Hello. I would like to use the number to log in to yahoo auction.
I read on the internet many people saying that it is not possible at all without having a Japanese SIM.
But specifically on the yahoo website the verification is done by voice call. I would like to know if anyone knows if it can work or not.
I would also like to know if I can take a test , if by chance it doesn’t work I can get a refund. Thank you in advance
Hi @Richard_Malukasso and thanks for posting.
Regarding Yahoo Auction verification - since they use voice call verification rather than SMS, there’s a possibility it might work with our Japan numbers. Our Japan numbers don’t support SMS, but voice calls work perfectly fine.
Our Japan numbers have the format: +81 (50) 505XXXXX
However, I need to be transparent with you:
- We cannot guarantee that Yahoo Auction will accept virtual numbers in their system
- Some services specifically block virtual/VoIP numbers regardless of the verification method
- The fact that they use voice verification instead of SMS is encouraging, but acceptance ultimately depends on Yahoo’s policies
Important: We cannot provide refunds if the verification doesn’t work, as Japan numbers require registration which uses resources on our end.
If you decide to proceed, you’ll need to provide registration information (personal or business details) as Japan has specific requirements for virtual numbers.
I’d recommend searching online forums to see if other users have had success using virtual numbers with Yahoo Auction’s voice verification system before making your decision.
