What audio codec do you use for pstn to sip calls

When somebody calls my pstn number, which I bought from flynumber, and the call is forwarded to my SIP account, what codec is used? Can I choose my favorite one?

Yes, depending on your device or software you can have it set to your preferred codec.

Oh, so does this mean that I can configure the codecs that are used for incoming calls in my soft phone? I did not know that.

You sure can, most SIP devices/software have the option to give a codec preference over another

I know this is possible with any Asterisk based system
