US Phone Number

I run Skytech Talent, an international recruitment business based outside the US. I’m looking for a phone system for one user, with a US number for outbound calls and callbacks. I also regularly call Europe and the Middle East.

Before proceeding, I need to clarify account eligibility, integration capabilities and the complete cost of a suitable setup.

1. Can I open and activate the account entirely outside the US?

Your team previously advised:

“Requirements for signing up must be done physically in US by your US partner/rep, it requires US billing address using major credit/debit card, and US mobile/landline number for OTP. VPN will not work for this purpose. if you try to activate outside US, the account will just be disabled.”

Could your onboarding team confirm whether this applies to every route to obtaining a US number through RingCentral, or specifically to opening a US domestic account?

For example, could I open an account through your appropriate international/regional team using my genuine overseas business details and then obtain a US number?

Please confirm whether I can complete registration, verification and activation using my non-US passport, overseas business registration, genuine overseas billing address, payment card and existing non-US phone number—without a US representative or physical US presence.

If address evidence is required, please specify the accepted documents and whether overseas bank statements, utility bills or business-registration documents qualify. If a US address is mandatory, would a commercial virtual mailbox qualify, or must it be an actual residential/operating address?

The distinction I need confirmed is opening and activating a new account from abroad, not simply using an already-activated account overseas. Please also flag any restrictions on the countries from which I can use the service.

2. Integration with Recruit with Atlas

My CRM is Recruit with Atlas. Its team recommended RingCentral, but I need to understand which exact product and subscription supports the integration.

Can it provide click-to-call from candidate/client records, automatic inbound and outbound call logging, and recordings and full transcripts attached to the correct record?

Please distinguish what works through the existing integration from anything requiring a custom API connection or additional software. Would Atlas be able to use the transcript in its own search, summaries and AI features, rather than only displaying a recording link?

3. Transcription and export to Obsidian

I want calls recorded and transcribed automatically, with the full transcript available in Atlas and a second copy saved into Obsidian as a Markdown note.

Can full transcripts—not just summaries—be retrieved through your API? Are speaker labels and timestamps included, and is there a webhook or notification when transcription is ready?

Please confirm the required plan, any AI/transcription allowances or additional charges, API access costs, and recording/transcript retention and export limits. What recording-notice and consent controls are available?

4. Power dialer

Ideally, I need a sequential power dialer for agent-led recruitment calls to candidates, existing clients and prospective clients—not prerecorded robocalls.

Which product or add-on provides this for one user? Please clarify whether it requires RingEX, RingCX, a separate subscription or third-party software.

Can I call through an Atlas shortlist directly, or would I need to export/import a list? Would call outcomes, recordings and transcripts still synchronize correctly with Atlas?

Please also confirm that this intended recruitment and business-development activity is permitted under your usage policies.

5. Calling across the US, Europe and the Middle East

Which package would you recommend for this mix, including both mobiles and landlines?

Please provide the included countries, allowances, fair-use limits and out-of-bundle rates. Would one US number be sufficient, or would additional local numbers offer a genuine pricing or callback benefit? Please explain any additional verification requirements and charges for those numbers.

I also need confirmation that my purchased number will display as outbound caller ID and receive callbacks while I’m overseas.

6. Complete pricing for one actual user

Please provide an itemized quote covering mandatory seats, subscriptions, number rental, setup, international usage, power dialing, recording/transcription, API/integration access and applicable taxes or telecom fees.

Please show monthly and annual options, minimum commitments and cancellation terms. Is there a trial that would let me verify activation, call quality, Atlas synchronization and transcript export before committing? What happens to any payment if my account or number cannot be approved?

Please confirm overseas activation eligibility first, before arranging a demo or recommending a paid package. I’m keen to keep recurring costs low and avoid purchasing unused seats or unnecessary add-ons.

Let me know which legal-entity details, destination countries and monthly usage estimates you need to give a definitive answer and accurate quote.

Hi @Jordan_Sukhu,

You’ve reached FlyNumber’s forum, so we can’t confirm RingCentral’s activation rules, plans or Atlas integration.

If you’re considering FlyNumber instead, our US numbers don’t require number-registration paperwork. FlyNumber SIP lets you make and receive calls through a compatible app, with your US number as outgoing caller ID. Outgoing calls are billed per minute.

Which country are you based in, and did you mean to ask about FlyNumber? We’d want to clarify that before recommending a setup for your Atlas, transcript-export and power-dialer requirements.
