Trying to get set up

Hi All. I’m trying to get set up but have no idea where to find my host number or even username. Even the SIP? I’m wanting to set up a phone number for a Nigerian line that will take calls for a business based in the UK? Grateful for your help please.

Thanks

Nugwa

Hi @Nugwa

I can help clarify how to set up your Nigerian FlyNumber to receive calls.

Important: FlyNumber doesn’t provide SIP credentials directly unless you’re using our phone system. For basic call forwarding to VoIP, you’ll need to get SIP credentials from a free service like SIP2SIP.

Easy Setup for Incoming Calls (Free):

The simplest way to receive calls on your FlyNumber is to use SIP2SIP with a free app like Zoiper or Groundwire. Here’s how it works:

  • Sign up for a free account at SIP2SIP (they’ll give you a username and password)
  • Download Zoiper or Groundwire app on your phone
  • Enter your SIP2SIP credentials into the app
  • In your FlyNumber dashboard, set forwarding to “VoIP” with these details:
    • Protocol: SIP
    • Host: sip2sip.info
    • Details: [your SIP2SIP username]

If You Want Outgoing Calls Too:

Our phone system ($14.95/month usually but can offer it for $9.95 right now) includes SIP credentials, incoming/outgoing calls, and advanced features like call routing, voicemail, and recording. You can create SIP accounts and use any SIP-compatible client like Zoiper or Groundwire, or use our dedicated mobile/desktop apps.
