Hello! I am looking to get a number in Italy and have a few questions.
First of all after I get the number will I be able to connect it to 3CX or FreePBX? If so will I be able to have both in- and outbound calls?
As I understood it I only pay the per min charge is I make the call outbound but if the call comes inbound then there is no charge?
The second question I had is, I’ve seen that for Italy I need to provide some documentation, and as I understood it, I need to provide my ID and a Utility bill not older than 6 months right? There is just one issue, I’m not yet 18 years old (not that it matters but I’m 17), and so if I provide my ID will it still be okay? Furthermore for the Utility bill does it matter if I’m not the one paying it?
I’m getting this number just to learn and explore how VoIP and PBX system work so I might
Both accept SIP credentials, and in that case (since you want outbound), you will want our phone system (normally $14.95 a month, but we can offer it for $9.95 in this case).
We have updates coming where we will offer our own internal SIP for incoming and outgoing, so you won’t need the phone system - this should be released in a month or two.
Correct, if you were to use our phone system, the incoming calls via SIP are unlimited; outgoing have a per-minute rate. Per min rates
This really depends on our Italian partners, but I don’t see it being an issue - keep in mind the proof of address needs to be in the area of the Italian city you are getting a number.
Thanks and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
So I should be able to register just fine with my own Italian ID, are there any other kinds of documents I could use as proof of address?
I appreciate the offer of the phone system but I’m just getting this number to learn more about VoIP and in general communications so I can’t really afford to spend too much.
Lastly, as of now there is no way to send outbound calls from 3CX or any other PBX other than your phone system, on the other hand inbound calls should be possible even if I use my own PBX?
