Questions About Nigerian Numbers, SIP, Concurrency and High-Volume AI Calls

Hello FlyNumber Support,

I am evaluating FlyNumber for a commercial AI receptionist platform that will use Nigerian (+234) numbers and connect incoming calls to our SIP/Vapi infrastructure.

Before we proceed with a potentially large number of subscriptions, I would like to clarify your current capabilities and pricing for higher-volume use.

Could you please answer the following:

1. Nigerian numbers

  • What is the current monthly price for Nigerian local numbers?

  • Are there any setup, activation, regulatory, or KYC fees?

  • Can we provision approximately 50 Nigerian numbers under one account?

  • Do you offer discounts for bulk subscriptions?

2. Inbound SIP/VoIP

  • Can every Nigerian number be connected directly to an external SIP endpoint?

  • Are incoming calls delivered to our SIP server/Vapi without requiring call forwarding through a traditional PSTN destination?

  • Is inbound SIP/VoIP calling included in the monthly number subscription, or are inbound minutes charged separately?

  • If included, is there a fair-use or monthly-minute limit?

  • Are there any additional charges for SIP usage?

3. Concurrent calls / channels

  • How many simultaneous inbound calls are currently supported per Nigerian number?

  • I have seen older information indicating a limit of 2 concurrent calls per number. Is that still the current limit?

  • Can additional channels be purchased for a single number?

  • If so, what is the current price per additional channel?

  • Is there an account-wide concurrent-call limit?

  • Could you support approximately 50, 100, or 500 simultaneous inbound calls across an account with multiple Nigerian numbers?

4. Scaling

  • If we eventually have 50–100 Nigerian numbers, can all of them route simultaneously to the same SIP/Vapi infrastructure?

  • Are there any calls-per-second (CPS) limits?

  • Are there any account-level traffic limits that we should know about?

  • Do you offer higher concurrency or enterprise capacity on request?

5. Outbound calling

  • Can the Nigerian numbers also be used for outbound VoIP/SIP calls?

  • What is the current outbound rate for calls from Nigerian numbers?

  • Are outbound calls charged per minute?

  • Are there any concurrency or CPS limits for outbound calls?

6. SIP/Vapi compatibility

  • Do you provide standard SIP credentials that can be used with Vapi or another SIP platform?

  • Do you support SIP over TLS and/or SRTP?

  • Are there any restrictions on connecting the numbers to an external AI voice platform such as Vapi?

  • Can we use our own SIP infrastructure while FlyNumber provides the Nigerian DIDs?

7. Commercial/enterprise arrangements

  • Do you offer custom pricing for approximately 50 Nigerian numbers and high call volumes?

  • If so, could you provide an example quotation for 50 numbers with approximately 100 concurrent inbound calls?

  • Could you also provide pricing for approximately 500 concurrent calls, if available?

Our primary requirement is high-volume inbound AI receptionist traffic, so the most important factors for us are the cost of Nigerian numbers, whether inbound SIP minutes are included, and the maximum simultaneous-call capacity.

We would appreciate current 2026 pricing and limits rather than historical figures from older documentation.

Thanks for the details — answers inline, current as of September 2026.

Nigerian numbers

  • $19.95/month per Nigerian local number (Lagos +234 1, Abuja +234 9). No setup, activation or regulatory fees.

  • Registration is required but light: name, contact phone number, company name, and a business address (any country). No document uploads, no fee.

  • Stock is the one constraint. Nigeria isn’t an instant-provisioning country for us — we currently have 9 numbers immediately available. 50 is doable, but it’s a stock request to the carrier, not a same-day self-serve purchase. Tell me the split you want between Lagos and Abuja and I’ll confirm quantity and lead time.

Inbound SIP / VoIP

  • Every number can point directly at your own SIP endpoint (host or SIP URI). No PSTN leg, no forwarding to a phone number.

  • Inbound delivery to SIP is included in the monthly price — no per-minute inbound charge, no monthly minute bundle, no fair-use cap. Your capacity limit is concurrent channels, not minutes.

  • No extra SIP usage fees.

  • We have a documented Vapi path: create a BYO SIP trunk in Vapi, add our gateway 138.197.42.26 with inbound calls + OPTIONS ping enabled, then point the number at {credential_id}.sip.vapi.ai. Concurrency

  • 2 concurrent calls per number is still current, and it’s included in the $19.95.

  • Additional channels can be added to a number — Nigeria supports it. That’s quoted per order rather than listed publicly; tell me the target and I’ll price it.

  • There’s no fixed account-wide concurrency cap. 50 and 100 concurrent are routine; 500 is fine as a planned build, we just size the capacity with you first.

Scaling

  • Yes — 50-100 numbers can all route to the same SIP/Vapi infrastructure simultaneously.

  • No published CPS limit at your volume. For a burst profile well above normal, we’d agree on a ceiling in advance rather than let it hit a surprise limit.

  • No other account-level traffic limits to worry about, and yes, we do higher-concurrency/enterprise capacity on request.

Outbound

  • Yes, the Nigerian numbers support outbound.

  • Outbound is per-minute from your prepaid balance, billed by the second on most routes. Live rates: FlyNumber per-minute rates and SMS pricing | FlyNumber — the price depends on destination, not on the number’s country.

  • Outbound concurrency follows the same channel capacity as inbound.

SIP compatibility

  • Standard SIP credentials, usable with Vapi or any SIP platform. TLS and SRTP supported (5061); UDP on 5060 if you prefer.

  • No restrictions on connecting to an external AI voice platform.

  • Using your own SIP infrastructure with us supplying the Nigerian DIDs is exactly the intended setup.
